Yet another tie headband. What can I say? I am obsessed with the fun, quick projects!
This headband sports a split shell stitch that creates a beautiful open lace effect. It works up quickly, and the ties allow for an adjustable fit.

Split Shell Tie Headband
Supplies:
Size I crochet hook
Worsted weight cotton yarn
Pattern:
ch 42
Row 1: sc in 3rd ch from hook. Turn.
Row 2: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in top of tch. Turn. (3)
Row 3: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 2. Turn. (4)
Row 4: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 2. Turn. (5)
Row 5: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 3. Turn. (6)
Row 6: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 4. Turn. (7)
Row 7: ch 3 (counts as dc), skip next 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc in next st, skip 2 sts, dc in last st. Turn.
Rows 8-20: ch 3 (counts as dc), (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch 3 space, dc in top of tch. Turn.
Row 21: ch 4 (counts as dc + ch 1), 2 sc in ch 3 space,dc in 3rd ch of tch. Turn.
Row 22: ch 1, sc in 1st st, sc in ch 1 space, sc in each of the next 3 sts, sc in ch 1 space, sc in top of tch. Turn. (7)
Row 23: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 5. Turn. (6)
Row 24: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 4. Turn. (5)
Row 25: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 3. Turn. (4)
