A couple days ago, I brought over my pattern for this toddler skirt. As promised, today I will show you how to add belt loops to the skirt. Also, make sure you check out my pattern for the awesome Tunisian stitch belt that goes with it.

These pattern instructions are written for the Toddler Skirt, but they can easily be used for a number of crochet projects. If you need to alter the size, you can simply add or subtract one or more stitches and/or rows.
Belt Loops:
Supplies:
Size G crochet hook
yarn needle
more of the same yarn that you made the skirt out of
Pattern:
Mark where you want your belt loops, evenly spaced around the skirt.
Attach yarn with a slip stitch to a stitch in the top of the band of the skirt, in the place were you want the loop.
Row 1: Ch 1. Hdc in the same stitch as join, hdc in next stitch.Turn.
Rows 2-7: Ch 2, hdc across. Turn. (2)
Finish off leaving a 6 inch “tail” for sewing.
Using your yarn needle, sew the belt loop to the bottom of the band.
Finish off and weave in ends.
Repeat for all belt loops.
