I admit I have been on a crochet flower pattern applique kick lately; what’s not to love about appliques, though. They are fun and quick and can be used for so many different things. My latest applique is this cute little flower.
This flower applique can be used for a variety of things. It would make a cut embellishment on a hat, such as this one, or a headband such as this, or this. Or you can use it to jazz up a little dress, or decorate a sippy strap. Those are just a few ideas.
I didn’t use this flower for any of them, though.
I used this flower for my 10 year old daughter’s jeans. Kids are always getting holes in the knees of their jeans. I whipped up this little flower and sewed it on over the hole, and voila!
Cute, right? My daughter sure likes it! In fact, a couple of my other daughters want me to make cute patches for their jeans, too! You saw my Yoda applique, right? My 8 year old has claimed that one for a pair of her jeans.
Leave me a comment and tell me what you like to use appliques for. Or, if there is an applique you would like for me to try my hand at designing, leave a comment about that, too!
