Recently, I shared the crochet Small Loopy Flower Appliques that I used on the headbands that I made to donate to Valley Children’s NICU. Last week I shared my first crochet Preemie Headband with the simple flower. It had a dainty, single crochet band.
Today, I am sharing an alternative to the thinner band.
While I used the simple flower, this crochet headband could easily withstand the deluxe flower, or even 2 or 3 simple flowers.
This headband utilizes a foundation double crochet (fdc). In fact, it is all fdc. If you are comfortable with the fdc, you can whip these up in no time at all. If you are just learning, these tiny headbands are great practice!
If you aren’t sure about the size you need, you can always print out my Hat and Headband Size Chart, to keep on hand. It includes preemie sizes.
